Taking place at the heart of Calgary's outdoor performance community, ContainR, Change YYC's event featured talents in music and dance from across the city coming together for the common goal of raising money to support black and other racialized youth in the community. An all-day event, a steady stream of people coming and going was crucial to its success.


Donating livestream and archive services as our contribution to the event, Electric Air streamed the full duration of the all-day event to Change YYC's social media channels. Multiple cameras, some roaming and some operated from afar, enabled a visually engaging and thumb-stopping stream. Helped by the bias of many social media algorithms to serve live-streamed content to a local audience preferentially, the stream became a direct window into the event for those at home. After noticing the stream on their feed constantly through the day, many then to make the excursion down.
